First, prepare your Easter eggs as normal by piercing each end of an uncooked egg with a needle or pin. Blow through the hole at one end of the egg, catching the contents in a bowl. . If there is difficulty in blowing eggs, make the hole a little bit larger. Eggs are now ready for painting or dipping in egg dye.
Tint or paint white blown eggs to the skin tin that you are looking for and then allow to dry. Paint on features. Paint on hair, or glue on braided crepe paper, wool or raffia for hair. Make moustaches and beards, hats and head dresses of colored paper or material. Decorate hats with feathers, beads, ribbons, bows or ornaments. Glue bottom of egg to egg stand. Cover egg stands with bows, ties, collars or ruffles.
