Crafts Materials Needed for Wooden Drums:

2 Paddles (either ping pong paddles or ball and paddle games from the dollar store)

Wood Glue

Metal Bottle Caps

Hammer

How to Make Wooden Drums:

Rhythm Paddles

(1) Glue 2 paddles securely together (Or and adult can cut out a spoon-shaped pattern from a piece of wood about a half-inch thick.) Let dry completely.

(2) With adult supervision or assistance...flatten 4 to 16 metal bottle caps...depending on how many you want to place on your paddle.

(3) With adult supervision or assistance...Nail two flattened metal bottle caps for each nail. You can put however many you want to on each side of the paddle. Drive the nail into the wood only far enough to secure.
