Woodworking Techniques & Methods for Wooden Crafts for Kids & Teens

(Parental Assistance and Supervision Required) When you are ready to get started with woodworking, you are going to need an adult present as all aspects of woodworking are dangerous. Ask your Mom, Dad, or one of your grandparents to help you to learn how to work with wood safely.

To hammer in a nail, strike head of nail flat, as in Figure A.

Hold a piece of wood, 6" x 8", firmly on a table top with the end protruding, as in Figure B.

With a coping saw, cut out a triangle from the short end

With a pencil, mark shape to be cut out. Drill a small hole inside the shape
