With this stuffed animal puppet, you use one of your old stuffed animals and then turn it into a brand new toy ... a fun puppet. This is a great crafts project if you want to make a puppet show and have some old stuffed animals hanging around the house anyways.

Making Stuffed Animal Puppets

Read The Instructions Below.

You will need some of the following materials

Stuffed toy animal (dog, kitten, lamb or other)

scissors

glove

needle

thread

Instructions for Making These Hand Puppets

Make sure to ask your parents first before cutting up one of your toy stuffed animals. To make this, you need to ask an adult to slit the underside of the animal carefully (sketch a) with scissors to make the opening about same size of opening in a glove. Remove part of stuffing from the front legs and neck. Shape the remaining stuffing to accommodate hand. Sew the glove into the opening (sketch b), with your index finger in neck, and thumb and middle finger in the front legs. To work the puppet, insert your hand into the glove and hold the puppet in your arms (sketch c). Wiggle the head and front legs of the animal to animate the puppet.

Now you have an amazing puppet animals to play with. It wasn't so hard to make and now it is almost like you have a brand new toy.

Email us a pic of your puppets and we will post them here.
