HOW TO MAKE ZOO or CIRCUS ANIMAL CAGES : Cardboard Box Crafts for Kids & Teens

Do you love going to the Circus or the Zoo? Animals are so much fun to watch but you can only go to the Zoo or Circus on rare occasions. What can you do when you really want to go back to your favorite spot? How about playing Zoo or Circus...you can make your very own animal cages or train cars. These are super easy to make and they turn out great. Find out how to make your own cages below with the following tutorial.

HOW TO MAKE ZOO or CIRCUS ANIMAL CAGES

CRAFTS MATERIALS NEEDED:

Cardboard Box

Yarn

Large Needle

Glue or Paste

Optional (other decorative items such as markers, paint, glitter, sequins)

How to Make Them:

Cut out the front and sides of Box.

(1) Any large cardboard box can be used as an animal cage. Cut out the front and sides of Box. You can also cut the 2 box flaps at the top in a decorative way as seen in the picture above.

Sew Yarn Cage Bars

(2) Sew Yarn in and out of cardboard to simulate cage bars. Tie knot inside the box so knot can't be seen from outside the box.

(3) Wheels can be made of cardboard and tacked or glued to the front of the cage.

You can bring in your favorite animals, and a circus or zoo display can be organized and played with.
