Below you will find a tutorial for sewing a fabric pouch
This is a great fabric pouch sewing project for first-time sewers. It isn't very difficult to make so teaching kids to sew with it might be a good idea. Just follow the directions int he illustrations above. Measure out the fabric to be 4 inches by 12 inches. Then fold over 2 pockets, each one inch in and then sew them up 1/4 inch from the fabric's edge. Then just fold the fabric in half with the pattern on the inside and sew the sides together evenly. Then just turn the entire thing inside out and thread some string inside the pockets and you have a beautiful pouch on your hands.
