The classroom environment is really important in order for your children to be comfortable and to learn. It has to be both attractive and functional. One very important part of the classroom (after the desks, chair and black or white board) is the bulletin board. The bulletin board needs to be fun, organized and easy to find important notices.

Grade Algebra - Students
will need to be moving the different numbers (1-9) around the
equation grid and placing them into the pockets where desired. The
solution numbers and operation symbols are all movable and will be
moved around in different orders as indicated on the worksheet.

vs Calculation - This
bulletin board is interactive insofar as students must physically
measure the objects attached to the board to determine each
container's volume. When estimating, students will need to physically
count the objects vertically and alongside of the containers. In
addition, formulas, measurements, and answers are affixed to the
bulletin board.
February
Bulletin Board Project - This theme can
be used throughout the year, but I like the "love yourself for
Valentine's Day" tie in.

Students : School Bulletin Board Decorating Ideas for Teachers - This student generated
bulletin board features pumpkins matted on brown construction paper.
Students then sketched and cut out their name so that it would fit
inside their pumpkin and looks as though it had been carved.
High-Flying
Algebraists - This
bulletin board is put up at the end of the school year (if using
period scheduling), or put up at the end of the first semester (if
using block scheduling). Therefore, this bulletin board acts a review
of topics from that were covered during the semester. The topics I
choose to review were 5 of the harder sections. The students review
radicals, exponents, polynomials, matrices, and inequalities.

Bulletin Board Project - A fall harvest
or thanksgiving theme with pumpkin templates. The door of the
pumpkin can be opened. Under the door is a picture and on the
back of the door is information.

Prime
Time - The first
activity will be to find all the prime numbers under 50 by using the
process known as the Sieve of Eratosthenes. Students will interact
with bulletin board initially by pulling all the flaps down on the
blue TV screen (If they are not already down). They will then follow
the directions on the worksheet on how to use the sieve. After they
do the first item on the worksheet, they then go through all 10
channels, pulling up the flaps and trying to figure out whether the
number underneath is a prime or not.
