CANDY CANE CRAFTS FOR KIDS : Make Christmas Arts & Crafts Projects with Candy Canes with these easy Activities, instructions, and ideas for children, teens, and preschoolers

There aren't many foods that are both a decorative item and a tasty candy as well. One of these foods is the candy cane and it is usually has white and red stripes going down its entire body. Usually it is shaped like a cane, but I've also seen it shaped like a stick too. Candy canes are many times hung on a Christmas tree to decorate the tree. Then when Christmas starts, kids can take a candy treat directly from the tree. It is a lot of fun. Below you will find crafts to make with candy canes.

How to Make Candy Cane Reindeer

How to Make Candy Cane Reindeer

Here is a great craft to make for Christmas parties or for treats that you bring to school with you for class Christmas treat bags. Start off with a wrapped candy cane and glue a red pom pom ball to its nose. Then add 2 googly eyes to the top. And wrap a brown or white pipe cleaner around the top of it, as seen in picture A above. Then all that needs to be done is to cut a 2nd pipe cleaner in half. Wrap one around one side and the other around the other side of the original pipe cleaner, as seen in picture B above. Have fun!

Candy Cane Sleds

Candy Cane Sleds

Here is an easy Christmas craft to make. Place 2 wrapped candy canes next to each other, as seen in picture #1 above. Then cut out a piece of card stock and place it over the candy canes, as seen in picture #2. Paste in place. You might want to place Christmas candy in a plastic bag. Then put it on top of the sled and give it out as treats to your young guests. You can even use them as a table placeholders.
