Santa Clause travels the world, riding on his sleigh pulled by his favorite flying reindeers. And why does he do that?! To deliver gifts and toys to all good little boys and girls, of course! To get ready for Christmas, and to get all festive, we thought you might want to try making some craft Christmas sleighs. You can make paper Xmas sleighs or sleighs made out of candy canes & other candy. Find some inspirational ideas on this page and get all merry while you're crafting!
This is an easy Santa Clause craft. This is a printable craft...just print out this Foldable Papercraft and then color it in with markers, crayons, colored pencils, etc. Then just cut on the solid lines and fold on the dotted lines. Fold the paper together to make a Santa sleigh. Then just put treats in it. You can make it more durable by pasting the paper to cereal box cardboard before cutting and folding...but this is an optional step.
The holders on which "Scotch" tape is sold can be used to make clever little sleighs for Christmas party favors and decorations. Cut double runners from cardboard, joined in the middle with a section 3/4" wide and 2 1/4" long. Add a back-end seat of cardboard. Decorate the frame with glitter, snow or anyway you like. You can be creative and make a pipe cleaner Santa Claus and have him driving a small plastic reindeer.
Candy Cane Sleds - Make a great Santa sleigh with 2 candy canes. Fill it up with treats. You can get chocolate santas and glue it on top of chocolate bars to make it look more like Santa's sleigh.
