Make Mom Jewelry Gift : Necklaces and Bracelets for Mother’s Day Crafts Activity for Kids

Crafts Materials Needed:

- Some dried kernels of corn (or acorns)

-Macaroni

- A heavy needle

- Some thread

- A thimble (optional, but a good idea to protect your fingers)

- A candle (optional)

- A pin

- Paints, Markers, or Crayons

Step 1:

To make the corn and macaroni necklace pictured at the top of this page, break some macaroni into small pieces, about three-quarters of an inch long.

Step 2:

Color the pieces of macaroni with crayons, markers, or paints.

Step 3:

Pierce each kernel of corn with a pin before stringing, making a tiny hole for the needle and thread to pass through.

Step 4:

Wax your thread by running it against a candle a few times. This will give it strength.

Step 5:

Acorns may be used instead of corn, but do not use berries or any vegetable which may rot instead of getting hard and dry.
