Picture Trick-or-Treaters coming to your house, and you coming to the door. When you open the door, they see glowing ghosts behind you. They scream until they realize that they didn’t see a real ghost; all they saw was just a floating balloon. Laura from  Dacian Moon Handmade  will show you, step by step, how to make a cool decoration for Halloween: a floating ghost :D.

How to Make Floating Glow in the Dark Ghosts for Halloween

CRAFTS MATERIALS NEEDED:

– balloon
– black permanent marker
– glow in the dark acrylic paint (I use orange glow paint with gold balloon. If you have white glow paint, use a white balloon)
– paintbrush

Step 1.

Put some paint on a cardboard…

… and apply it with the paintbrush…

… on the balloon.

Like this.

Let it dry well.

Step. 2

Use the permanent marker to add eyes and mouth. Let it dry.

Now, on daylight the balloon is gold, but in the dark, it glows.

Note:

If for some reason the paint is peeling, clean the balloon and repeat the steps above on the inflated balloon.

Today I have a fun and creative craft for you.  In this post I’m going to show you how to make a Glued String Easter Basket perfect to fill with Easter eggs and candy.  The Easter Basket turns out beautifully and it is simply made with a balloon, yarn, flour and water.  Don’t use the same boring Easter Baskets that every child uses from the store…. make your very own Glued String Easter Basket.  The Easter Bunny will love it.  So, let’s get started.

Materials Needed

Balloon

Flour

Water

Shallow Bowl

Yarn

String

Needle

Scissors

Step 1

Blow up balloon and tie a knot at the end.  Tie a string to this, and hang it from an overhead point, so that it is about eye level for the child.

Step 2

Mix flour and water.  Do this by mixing 1/4 cup of flour into 1 cup of water. You will want the mixture to be thin-sh and a bit runny.

Step 3

Cut yarn in lengths of about 4 feet lengths. Dip the yarn into the flour mixture and wet each piece of yarn thoroughly.

Step 4

Start at top and criss-cross.

Step 5

Wrap more yarn around balloon and then you should pop the balloon.

Step 6

Cut top side of string on both sides to make basket.

I have a fun and creative craft for you today.  I’m going to show you how to make Yarn Bird Cages.   These Yarn Bird Cages are colorful decorations for all sorts of occasions, and can be made by children aged six and up.  You will simply dip yarn in flour and water and wrap around a balloon…. it is so much fun.  Kids will love dipping their yarn into the flour and water mixture.  So, grab the materials needed and let’s get started.

I found these costumes over at Instructables and it’s such a great idea.  Made with some items around the house… like a cardboard box, duct tape and paper bowels… you are sure to have this costume finished in no time.

(2) Ghost

Whenever I think of a easy, yet spooky, costume for Halloween I think of the standard Ghost costume.  It never gets old…. it’s always good.  SavvySugar shows you how to make this costume on the cheap.

(3) Medusa

I think this costume is very imaginative and wouldn’t take too much to put together.  DebtFreeByThirty shows us how to put this very cool Medusa costume together with not much time or money.

(4) Quarterback

This is a crazy costume….. I love it!!  I think any little boy would enjoy it too.  Take an old sweatsuit, Velcro and toy cars and FamilyFun will show you how to turn it into this clever Road Trip costume.  Plus, your child will have no trouble keeping warm in it on Trick-or-Treat.  That’s a plus.

I have the perfect Halloween decoration craft for you.  Here I will show you how to make a Halloween bean bag balloon pumpkin perfect for this Halloween season.

Materials Needed:

Water Bottle

3 Balloons

Rice or Split Peas

Scissors

Black Felt or Black Marker

Green Clay or Play Doh

Step 1:

Cut water bottle bottom off to make a funnel.

Step 2

Fill balloon to half its size.  Wait 15 seconds and then you can deflate the balloon.  This stretches the balloon out.

Step 3

This is what the deflated balloon should look like.

Step 4

Stretch the balloon over the top of the bottle.  Place rice or split peas into the cut water bottle…. they will then fill the balloon.

Step 5

Fill up the balloon until it is about this full.

Step 6

Cut off the top of the balloon.

Step 7

Cut bottoms from two more balloons.

Step 8

Stretch a balloon over the filled balloon… covering the side with hole.

Step 9

Stretch 3rd balloon over the 2nd balloon… Again over the side the hole is showing on.

Step 10

This is what your pumpkin bean bag looks like now.

Step 11

Go to Our – How to Draw a Jack-O-Lantern Drawing Tutorial to draw the face…or just add a triangle for each eye and for the nose.  Draw a smile as well.

Step 12

Add green clay or play doh stem and leaf to top.

And there you go.  You have just made an original Halloween decoration for your house…. a Halloween bean bag balloon pumpkin.  Display it proudly.  And, have a very scary Halloween.

Today we will show you how to make your very own juggling balls….with balloons and lentils. This is a fun family activity to do with your sisters and brothers and parents. These juggling balls feel a LOT like stress balls, so they can also be used for that purpose as well. The step by step instructions can be found below.

How to Make Juggling Balls & Stress Balls from Balloons and Lentils in Easy Craft Activity

Crafts Materials Needed

– Balloons

– Scissors

– Funnel or a Piece of Paper Rolled up Like a Funnel

– Lentils or Split Peas

Step 1

Blow a balloon up half way. Keep it inflated for about 30 seconds.

Step 2

Now deflate it.

Step 3

Use a funnel…but if you don’t have one…roll up a piece of paper so that it is bigger on one end and smaller on the other.

Step 4

Put the smaller end of the funnel deep into the balloon.

Step 5

Fill it up with lentils until it is about this full.

Step 6

Now cut off the top of the balloon.

Step 7

Take 2 more balloons and cut the ends off of those too.

Step 8

Now stretch the first balloon over the filled balloon … cover the side that has a hole in it.

Step 9

Now your balloon will look like this.

Step 10

Now cover your balloon with the last, third, balloon.

Now make 2 more balloons the same exact way and juggle your heart out. I hope that you have fun.
