How to Make a Paper Owl Decorations for Halloween

Although owls are known as being wise, they are also known as a spooky part of Halloween. They don’t seem very creepy, but walking thru a dark forest with owls hooting can be a pretty creepy experience. However, this owl is more a cute tribute to Halloween. and can also be used as a cover for glasses or whatever else you choose to use it for. Happy Halloween.

How to make a Paper Owl decoration for Halloween



CRAFTS MATERIALS NEEDED:

– recycled paper roll
– red paper
– white paper
– paper glue
– permanent markers : black, gold
– pencil
– scissors







Step 1.

Take the paper roll…







…and flatten it.








Fold one part inside, like in the picture…







… then the other. Now the owl have ears 😀







Step 2.

Color it with black…







… like this.







Step 3.

Draw drops on red paper.







Cut them out.







Step 4.

Apply a layer of glue on the top of a drop…







… and place it on the black roll, like this. Must start at the bottom for feathers to sit well.







Continue to glue red feathers on the owl till close up.







Step 5.

Draw 2 bigger wings on red paper.







Cut them out and applying a layer of glue on the top of them…







… stick them on their places.







Step 6.

Draw another drop and 2 circles on white paper.







Cut them out.







The new drop will be the beak, so you’ll paint it with gold.







The circles will be the eyes and you should paint them black, like this.







Glue the beak on the middle of the „face”…







… and eyes on one side and the other.

The paper owl is ready.

How to Make a Toy Sword for Halloween or for Play

With Halloween right around the corner, you might be looking to buy or make a toy sword for your costume. Well don’t go out and buy one, today we will tell you how to make a pretty cool toy sword. Laura from  Dacian Moon Handmade  will show you, step by step, how to make a sword fit for every knight 😉



How to Make Toy Swords



CRAFTS MATERIALS NEEDED:

– ruler
– tinfoil
– tape
– auto-adhesive crystal
– permanent markers : black
– scissors







Step 1.

Place ruler over foil…







… and begins to wrap.







Fold the upper corner like this to make the sword pointy.








It will look like this.







Step 2.

Take another piece of foil…







… and crumples it until you get a bar.







Place it over the sword to form the hilt.







Cut some stripes of foil…







… and wrap the hilt in „x” around the sword.







When you reach the lower part again…







continue to wrap the ruler…







until you feel it comfortable in hand.







Step 3.

Wrap the hilt in tape. Cover a little bit over the horizontal bar to keep it in place.

Color the hilt in black…

Add the self-adhesive crystal…







And your sword is ready.

How to Make Leaf Ghosts for Halloween

I have a fun Halloween craft for you today.  And, the cool part is you probably already have the craft materials around your house.  In this post I’m going to show you how to make Leaf Ghosts for Halloween.  Make a bunch of these and you can easily decorate your house this year for Halloween.  It is best to use a Maple Leaf for this craft as this is the one we used for the craft.  With just some minor cutting they can look like a ghost.  The kids will love collecting the leaves and even more so making the craft.  So, let’s get started.

How to Make a Pumpkin Milk Jug Candy Holder

Last week I showed you how to make a Milk Jug Vampire Candy Holder.  Well, you seemed to have loved that idea, so I thought I would show you another cool Milk Jug Halloween Craft.  Today I’m going to show you how to make a Pumpkin Milk Jug Candy Holder perfect for handing out candy this Halloween.  Kids will love reaching inside this Pumpkin for the treats…. almost as much as your kids will love making it.  Keep in mind you will need some Adult Help for this craft as a knife and/or a scissor will be needed to cut open the milk jug.  So, let’s get started.

Knife (for adult only)

Orange, White, Green, Black & Red Paint

Brass Fasteners

How to Make a Haunted House Treat Holder for Halloween

Halloween is coming up quickly.  Before you know it it will be the end of the month and Halloween will be here.  Today we are going to make a Halloween craft.  In this post I’m going to show you how to make a Haunted House Treat Holder for Halloween.  Load it with candy and use it as a Halloween party favor.  Or, if you would prefer…. use it as a Halloween decoration for inside the house.  The kids will love putting on display something they made themselves.  So, let’s get started.

How to Make a Haunted House Treat Holder for Halloween



 

Materials Needed

Milk Carton

Candy

Tape

A Couple Pieces of White Paper

Colored Construction Paper

Paste / Glue

Scissors

Pencil

Crayons, Markers or Colored Pencils

 

Step 1



If your milk carton has a circle spout, we will take that out.

How to Make a Trick-or-Treat Paper Toy

Today I have a fun and festive Halloween craft.  It can be either a spooky Halloween decoration as well as a fun Halloween toy for the little ones.  In this post I’m going to show you how to make a Trick-or-Treat Paper Toy.  Using the 4 templates included in this craft you are going to make a little town with people that you can actually pretend they are going Trick-or-Treating.  Kids love pretending and even more than that they will love pretending to trick-or-treat with this toy because they made it themselves.  Let’s get started.

How to Make a Milk Jug Vampire Candy Holder

I have a wonderfully fun Halloween craft for you today.  In this post I’m going to show you how to make a Milk Jug Vampire Candy Holder for Halloween.  What is really cool about this craft is that you probably have all the craft materials needed in your house.  This vampire candy holder is made from a Milk Jug…. just simply wash it out and you are good to go.  You will need a bit of help from an adult cutting the milk jug as it can be difficult to cut.  So, grab the materials needed and let’s get started.

Material Needed

Milk Jug

Black Marker

Scissors

Paint (color of your choice)

White, Black & Red Paint

Glue

Yarn

Paper Plate

How to Make Clothespin Witches

Halloween is later this month.  It is coming up quickly….. so now is the time to decorate your house for Halloween.  Today I’m going to show you how to make Clothespin Witches.  The craft calls for a wooden clothespin.  My suggestion to you is to use the old-fashioned clothespins…. not the “pinch-to-open” ones.  Make a few of these Clothespin Witches to decorate your whole house.   Grab the materials needed and let’s get started.

Oh boy… Do I have a fun Halloween Craft for you today!!  In this post I’m going to show you how to make Jack-o-Lantern Beads.  These Jack-o-Lantern Beads are so much fun and yet so easy.  They are perfect even for the young kids.  Just make sure your child isn’t too young that they still put things in their mouth…. beads can be choking hazards.  If you make a bunch of these Jack-o-Lantern Beads they will be perfect to add to a clear bowl and make a Halloween Centerpiece.  So, let’s get started.
